TREK signed an agreement with the Information Society s.a., the Governmental National Body, for the development of the first video social networking portal for real estate and autos.
The project has a budget of 950.000 euros, with 50% of that being funded by the Greek Government Broadband Initative.
The social networking portal will focus on the provision of a fully automated broadband P2P marketplace for real estate and cars in Greece and abroad. Potential users of the portal will be able to search using multiple criteria, be informed, buy and sell, or preferably rent properties and cars, by using advanced broadband features like high definition video streaming, knowledge management searching capabilities and other tools.
The marketplace is expected to act as an infobroker, enabling the match of supply and demand for properties and cars. Operation will be executed by TREK. Therefore, TREK has already signed agreements with content providers and real estate professionals for cooperation in this initiative. Full scale operation is expected within the next 18 months.
