Following international tender, TREK has been awarded a 930.750 euro project to develop policies and specific measures for the critical issue of "Active Aging" along the whole spectrum of Labour Force in Greece. Labour Market accross Greece and Europe tackle with the aspect of keeping "alive" employees of 55+ years of age, thus holding this special group of citizens active into the Labour scenery. TREK is about to research, analyze and apply specific measures towards the active aging issue and provide simple and measureable policies for the benefit of employees, Labour Unions and employer's Associations. Further, TREK supports this actions by putting in place a modern and sophisticated Informtion Technology platform, comprises of a Single Sign Portal for active aging with features such as interactive Labour information, e-learning platforms and other forms of interoperability among National Stakeholders. According to plan, TREK is also responsible to provide round table discussions, detailed and on-the spot consultation, as well as specific technical interwiews - opinion leader's discussion with more that 800 participants from the Labour communty, employer's associations, employee's Unions and other Policy Makers and stakehoders. Geograhical coverage will be all accross the country and diversification will be among 10 different Sectors of the Economy. Duration of the project is 14 months.

OKE is part of the European Economic & social Councils of Europe, a well respected institutional Organization. Their basic tool is social dialogue aimed at strengthening social consultation, consensus and co-responsibility, leading to progress for countries and building prosperity for citizens. The Economic and Social Council of Greece, as the institutional expression of society, is dedicated, operating on the social and scientific level, to make the social dialogue in Greek society more meaningful and more effective. Being the year of "Active Aging" TREK assists OKE (GR) with the goal to formulate concrete, detailed and specific policies followed by supporting measures towards keeping into labour life the 55+ aging population. Either in the Public sector or in the Private workforce the need for 55+ employess to be valuable and active into their jobs is the main target of the global issue of "Active Aging".

Detailed field and desk research for the active aging issue in Greece. Focus on selective sectors of the economy, based on preliminary findings and pilot analysis. Extrapolation of special characteristics per sector/field, needs and performance evaluation of active aging management.
Best Practices at Internationala and European level, best -practical- viable fit into the National Labour environment.
Roadmap of prototype procedures and tools for preventional energetic active aging management.
Interactive set of platforms (single sign on) comprising of web based informative material, e-learning synchronous/asynchronous platforms, online consultation discussion forums and other forms of interactive collaboration via multiple channels (web, mobile, TV).
